That Sounds Sloppy!
Updated: Mar 4, 2019

Music consist of two major elements: Pitch and Rhythm. You need both elements to work harmoniously together in order to achieve a sound that is pleasant to the ear. One without the other and you will have a chaotic sound. Most "newbies" tend to play the correct notes too fast. This creates a "sloppy sound" because they are playing at a tempo that is outside of their current ability. Here are some tips to improve tempo accuracy:
1. Slow down.
2. Use a metronome or play along with the actual song.
3. Record yourself with your cell phone and listen to it.
